Thermomix and Cookidoo: Simple Weekly Meal Planning for Busy Homes

One of the biggest advantages of Thermomix TM7 is its connection with Cookidoo, the official recipe platform. Cookidoo offers thousands of tested recipes designed especially for Thermomix and supports Guided Cooking on your appliance. When you use Thermomix and Cookidoo together, weekly meal planning in Ireland becomes much simpler.

Why plan your week with Thermomix and Cookidoo

Good meal planning helps you to:

  • spend less time thinking about what to cook
  • shop with a clear list instead of guessing in the supermarket
  • reduce food waste and use what you already have
  • enjoy more variety without constantly searching random recipes online

Step 1: Decide your focus for the week

Before you open Cookidoo, think about what matters most this week. For example:

  • very fast dinners on days with sports or late meetings
  • budget friendly meals based on pantry ingredients
  • more vegetables or more meat free days
  • lunchbox ideas for children

Having a clear focus helps you choose recipes that really fit your life right now.

Step 2: Use Cookidoo filters to find the right recipes

On Cookidoo you can search and filter by dish type, preparation time, dietary preferences and main ingredients. When you find a recipe you like, add it to your weekly plan for a specific day. Over time you will build a list of family favourites that you can reuse again and again.

Step 3: Plan a realistic mix of Thermomix meals

A simple weekly plan could look like this:

  • two soups that can double as lunch the next day
  • three one bowl main dishes such as curry, chilli or bolognese
  • one oven dish where Thermomix prepares the sauce or filling
  • one baking session at the weekend for bread, cake or snack bars

Leave at least one evening free as a leftovers night or flexible option. Real life in Ireland rarely follows a perfect schedule.

Step 4: Generate your shopping list

Once your Cookidoo plan is ready, use the shopping list function. You will see all ingredients for the week in one place and you can tick off what you already have in your pantry or fridge. Take the list with you on your phone when you go shopping. This helps reduce impulse buys and keeps your food budget under control.

Step 5: Do a small prep session with Thermomix

When you come back from the supermarket, spend 30 to 60 minutes in the kitchen with Thermomix TM7. For example:

  • chop vegetables for the first one or two meals
  • prepare a dip or spread for snacks and lunchboxes
  • make a batch of granola, yoghurt or overnight oats for breakfast

Even a short prep session can make the next few days feel much easier.

Step 6: Use Guided Cooking on busy evenings

On busy evenings simply select the planned recipe directly on your Thermomix screen and follow Guided Cooking. The appliance tells you what to add, when to add it and sets the correct time, temperature and speed for you.

Step 7: Review your plan at the end of the week

At the end of the week ask yourself:

  • which recipes did everyone enjoy
  • did you cook too much or too little
  • what ended up as leftovers or waste

Use this information to adjust your plan for the next week. Very soon you will have a personal library of Thermomix and Cookidoo meals that work perfectly for your home.
