Thermomix TM6 has been very popular in Ireland for years. Now the new Thermomix TM7 is available through the Thermomix Advisor network. If you already own a TM6 or if you are choosing your first Thermomix, you might be asking yourself which model to go for. This guide will help you think it through.
What Thermomix TM6 and TM7 have in common
Both generations offer the core Thermomix experience:
- all in one cooking with chopping, mixing, blending, steaming, kneading and more
- integrated scales to weigh ingredients directly into the bowl
- Guided Cooking with official Cookidoo recipes on the screen
- built in safety features and clear instructions that support correct use
If you already own a TM6, you know how much daily value that combination brings.
What is new with Thermomix TM7
Thermomix TM7 builds on the strengths of TM6 and brings a new generation of hardware and software. The focus is on a refined user experience, smart features and further improvements to Guided Cooking. During a live demo you can see how it feels in real cooking situations and decide whether the new generation is right for you.
When does an upgrade from TM6 to TM7 make sense
An upgrade to Thermomix TM7 can be worth considering if:
- you use your Thermomix several times a week and want access to the latest generation
- you cook for a growing family or entertain more often
- you enjoy exploring new modes, recipes and smart functions
- you would like to pass your TM6 on to a family member or sell it privately
If you only use your TM6 occasionally, you might first focus on building a regular cooking routine. After a few months of consistent use you will have a clearer idea if upgrading is important for you.
New TM7 or pre loved TM6 in Ireland
If you do not currently own a Thermomix, you might be deciding between buying a new TM7 through an Advisor or looking for a pre loved TM6. It is important to remember:
- new Thermomix TM7 units are sold through the official Thermomix UK and Ireland Advisor network
- this ensures correct registration, warranty and welcome support
- pre loved TM6 units are usually sold privately between individuals
- any private purchase is entirely your own decision and responsibility
If you choose to buy a pre loved TM6, always check the serial number, condition of the appliance and proof of original purchase. Your Advisor cannot manage private sales for you, but can explain how registration works and what to look out for.
